A month ago, Disney launched their own streaming service called Disney+, and along with it came Star Wars’ first live-action series - The Mandalorian. It became an instant hit among fans, mainly because it had a more dark and mature theme, but also because of The Child - a character now nicknamed Baby Yoda by the fans and media.
A couple of days ago, season 1 of the series ended with a finale that scored 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. In fact, the last two episodes scored 100%, making the overall score of the show a whopping 94%. It is now officially one of the very few TV shows to have ever scored more than 90% in the first season.
*SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT* *SPOILER ALERT*
The finale ended with a bit of a cliffhanger, when what is presumed to be the Darksaber made a cameo. If you have been following the Clone Wars and Rebels TV shows, you would have picked up on it immediately. But what is the Darksaber? And how does it affect the history of Star Wars? Well I guess we'll have to wait for the second season to find out, or of course you can just read up about it online.
The good news is, season 2 had already started production even before the first episode of season 1 was released, and will premier in the fall of 2020. Meanwhile, the new season of Clone Wars will begin in January, so if you have not been watching, it's the perfect time to catch up!
