The Batman is back on schedule.

Hardly a couple of weeks after releasing the first look of The Batman during the DC FanDome event on August 23rd, filming of the movie was set on a pause because the main man playing The Bat was diagnosed with the COVID-19 coronavirus, as per reports from Vanity Fair. Thankfully, Pattinson seems to be making good recovery and as of this week, production of the film has resumed in the UK. “Following a hiatus for COVID 19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the UK,” a Warner Bros. Pictures spokesperson has now told Variety.

Early this year, about a quarter of the movie was successfully filmed, enough for Matt Reeves and his team to release a first look trailer during the FanDome, alongside a  whole bunch of other trailers from the DC filmmakers. The Batman will also see film stars Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle, and Colin Farrell as The Penguin. Here is the full list of main cast and their roles in the upcoming film.

The Batman was initially set to premier in June 2021, but due to the multiple setbacks caused by the pandemic, the date of release has been pushed to October 2021.
