It gives us tremendous pleasure to be able to share the wonderful artwork of Holly Maguire on Kismet Decals! Her perfect mix of foliage and humans got us hooked right from the start. Just when you think it couldn't get better, she creates her illustrations using just the perfect combination of colors. They're really quite relaxing to the eye!
Just to let you in on a little bit about Holly Maguire: She is a freelance illustrator based in London. As you will soon notice, Holly’s work features a lot of color and pattern, as well as playful imagery - which she hand paints using gouache.
She has worked on a variety of products ranging from children’s books to clothing and homeware.
Holly’s illustrations are inspired by the things she loves to do such as pottering in the garden, people (and dog!) watching, travelling, collecting beautiful packaging, rummaging at flea markets and gazing at paintings in galleries.
We're so excited that we have been given the honor of producing her illustrations into beautiful and unique wall (and soon, laptop) decals. We've got our eyes set on a piece of hers called "Tiny Houses" - they're a perfect combination of dreamy and fantastical. You'd want one of Holly's illustrations in your home if you love all things pretty!
