"It's Kismet!" Announcing: Collaboration with Pizzle Paints

We're so excited to have the charming Simela Petridis of Pizzle Paints (find her on Instagram, @pizzlepaints) join our artist community! Her alluring paintings of bountiful floral wreaths caught our eye and we just had to have her collaborate with us. Thanks to our lucky stars, she graciously agreed and all is good with the world now *happy dance all day*.

Simela is a modern watercolorist from Adelaide, Australia. She began water coloring to alleviate the stresses of everyday life and found comfort in the beauty of creating unique pieces of art.

Her original style and techniques resonate throughout her Instagram page, showcasing her love for creating intricate, bold wreaths and one of a kind bouquets. Simela's art is special and a lot of her inspiration comes from bohemian patterning, folk art and loose florals.

She uses various forms of art mediums such as modeling paste, markers and acrylic paint in her pieces and tries to create one-of-a-kind color combinations. Simela's painting techniques are also extremely unique. She has made up her own simple methods to create various textures in her paintings which she readily shares on her Instagram page.

Simela has been given the opportunity to work with one of America's leading arts and crafts company Prima Marketing Inc., becoming an official member of their watercolor design team and one of their only Australian artists on board. What an awesome achievement!

With her knowledge in this field, Simela is so eager and ready to share what she's learnt along the way, that she has started to organize workshops for people interested in the art of watercolor painting and floral wreaths. That's just super fantastic, if you ask me!

Simela is an extremely passionate artist and challenges the norm of water coloring to create pieces that are completely her own. We're mighty pleased to be able to share her artwork on Kismet Decals, definitely!
