"It's Kismet!" Announcing: Collaboration with Aida Zamora

We're just over the moon about landing the sweet and talented Aida Zamora for Kismet Decals. I can bet that your kids will fall in love with her paintings as soon as they set eyes on them! If I had to describe her work in a sentence, it'd be this: Adorable and lovable characters of pure innocence. Just the perfect ingredients for a child's bedroom or playroom to spark the imagination in a safe, cozy surrounding.

Aida is an illustrator, muralist, and mother of two young children. This lovely combination set her on a journey dedicated to creating beautiful paintings for children. Personally, I believe a lot of adults would be happy to have her art on their walls too, because her illustrations exude a sense of peace and tranquility.

Aida lives in a small village on the mountain, surrounded by nature, which she feels is the ideal place to find the inspiration she needs for her illustrations. She's a big fan of the traditional style of illustration - hand-painting using watercolor and paintbrush, that is - and enjoys creating illustrations for children. She always strives to capture the magic and light of the beautiful landscape and the small animals in her surroundings.

Intrigued, I asked Aida to elaborate about where she lives (I have a terrible case of the wanderlust bug): "I live in Nueno, a village of less than 100 inhabitants at the gates of the Pyrenees, surrounded by mountains, we have a small river here where we bathe in summer. There is also a very pure spring water coming from an underground river. There are forests of holm oaks and pines and many fields, which are now green and full of poppies."

WOW. That sounds like a dream come true to me. For now, I can live through Aida's beautiful paintings. The sweet and soft colors that Aida paints with makes it so easy to create a loving, calming and enjoyable environment in children's rooms.
