In case you’ve been living under a rock the past three decades, Christie Brinkley is that really famous supermodel who was on the cover of the infamous Sports Illustrated magazine for three consecutive issues through 1981. Then, she spent a whopping twenty five years as the face of CoverGirl. Brinkley’s gig with the reputable brand is known to be the longest running contract of any model in history. And, she’s appeared on at least 500 magazine covers throughout her career.
She then went on to work as an actress, illustrator, television personality, photographer, writer, designer and activisit for human and animal rights and the environment. Phew! That list is long but wait, she’s not done yet. Did you know she also has a knack for gardening? Talk about being multi-talented. It’s been three decades and there’s no stopping this supermodel, huh?
An article published dating back in 2009, Christie Brinkey was quoted on News Day, “ I'm an experimental gardener. I mix and match, and I love it.” I mean wow! Check out Christie showing off her organic garden, located in Sag Harbor (that’s the Hamptons, if you’re scratching your head) on social media over a series of photographs.
The star’s garden showcases a plethora of wisteria vines and pink Knock Out roses which is a special kind of disease-resistant rose said to require little to no maintenance.
